Jen & Derek’s Organic Farm: Dill Parmesan Popcorn

Last weekend I discovered that a local coffee shop in downtown Charlottetown offers Dill Parmesan Popcorn. I decided to give it a try and fell in love. It was the best popcorn that I have had in a really long time.
When Jen gave me a bunch of fresh dill in our box last week, I had to recreate this dish at home.

Fresh Dill and Parmesan Popcorn

1/4-1/3 cup of un popped popcorn kernels
About a 1/4 cup of fresh dill, chopped small
A couple of tablespoons of finely shredded Parmesan cheese
About a tablespoon of melted butter or more if you love buttery popcorn

Pop your popcorn using your favourite method. I love using a brown paper bag or a steamer basket in the microwave.

Melt your butter and toss in your dill and Parmesan. Mix this together and pour it on top of your popcorn. Toss the popcorn around to spread the topping around evenly. I find that the Parmesan is salty enough, but you may want to add a sprinkle of salt to your popcorn.
